We are seeking a Housing Occupational Therapist to ensure households in the district have access to safe and suitable accommodation which meets their needs. You will ensure that offers of accommodation are suitable considering the individual needs of the household, and will draw on your clinical expertise in order to implement a holistic intervention plan to enable vulnerable customers to remain safely within their home environment, identifying necessary equipment and adaptations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to lead a team of Community Wardens. This new Community Warden lead will be working in close liaison with internal & external stakeholders, neighbourhood policing and Community Safety Partnership commissioned services to focus and respond to emerging issues reported by the communities we serve.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead; whose area includes both urban and rural communities such as Ascot, Bray, Cookham, Datchet, Eton, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and a number of smaller villages.
You will need to be strong leader who can monitor staff performance, provide support, motivate and organise a team to carry out projects and initiatives within the community. You will need to empower and engage your team of wardens in a variety of different ways in order to design and deliver integrated responses to problems in high-risk areas.
This role is a varied and interesting one. It involves providing a professional uniformed presence to deter crime and anti-social behaviour and to address the safeguarding needs of vulnerable members of the community. You will need to be fit, alert, have excellent communication and observational skills, enjoy meeting people, and relish working outdoors.
You will need to be a proven problem solver, able to compile accurate reports, collate evidence and manage a caseload with relevant agencies and key stakeholders. You will also be required to carry out a range of both support and enforcement duties.
A full driving licence and use of a car is required for the post, for which a business user allowance is paid.

We are recruiting a Housing Options Assistant to join the Council’s Housing Service. You will be motivated, keen to learn and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
The Council’s Housing Options Service works with households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. There are several teams within the service including the Housing Options Team who work to prevent households from becoming homeless and to help those who are homeless to find new accommodation, the Allocations Team who manage the Council’s housing register and allocations and the Rough Sleeping Pathway Team who engage with rough sleepers to support them through a three stage rehabilitative pathway.
The Housing Service provides advice and assistance to households on anything from welfare benefit support and dealing with debt, to addressing substance misuse, accessing health care and escaping domestic abuse. You will support Officers with this vital support work.
