Senior Occupational Therapist DFG Specialist

To make Optalis ‘s vision a reality, Optalis has developed a new exciting role for a Senior OT/ Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) specialist whom is enthusiastic and motivated to be the best OT they can be while being an active Lead in developing our DFG service further.
Our OT Service has started developing a new, more effective DFG process including the assessments, application & OT specification process together with our DFG partners in Residential Services. The successful candidate will be the lead for the DFG assessments, development and coordination of DFG related work within the long term OT team. They will be the lead in our partnership with residential services. They will work closely with the new developed Senior OT-Assistant DFG post holder to develop the most effective use of skills and abilities. Together with the OT Service Manager their focus will be on ensuring residents needs are met in the most effective timely and cost effective ways to ensure as many of our residents with these type of needs can be supported.
We have high professional standards and expect timely work through put to help our residents. However, our OTs have a realistic, protective & personalised case load. This to ensure our OT’s are supported and professionally protected so they can do the best job they can, whilst enjoying their work.
Our OT Service focusses on the long term physical and age related disability needs of our adult residents.

You must have a BSc qualification in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with relevant experience in major adaptations and be registered with the Health Professions Council.
